MARIETTA – One man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident on State Route 550 in Washington County, according to the Marietta Post of the Ohio state Highway Patrol.
Andrew P. Harris, 55, of Hebron, Ohio, was driving a 2021 Harley Davidson Street Glide west on Route 550 at milepost 5 in Fairfield Township where he went off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail, the patrol said. He was thrown off the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.
The accident happened around 12:15 p.m. The crash remains under investigation, the patrol said.
Responding agencies included the patrol, Wesley Volunteer Fire Department, Washington County Sheriff's Office, Washington County Coroner and Secure Towing.
