MARIETTA - The 37th annual fall foliage tour sponsored by the Little Muskingum Watershed Association in Washington County will be held Oct. 10-11.
Seven stops are planned on the picturesque self-guided driving tour on Ohio 26 north of Marietta, organizer Karen Eddy said.
"Spend as much time as you want at each place along the way," she said.
Hours for the event are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11.
Stops on the tour are on State Route 26, except for the Wonder of Wood, which is off Route 26, she said.
The 2026 tour stops are:
1. Washington County Home.
2. Hidden Hills Orchard, where apples are available.
3. Hills Covered Bridge.
4. Wonder of Woods on Laurel Road off Cow Run Road.
5. Mail Pouch Tobacco barn.
6. Rinard Covered Bridge.
7. Little Muskingum Watershed Association at mile marker 24.
Among the weekend's activities are tractor pulls, vendors with demonstrations and dinners featuring chicken, smoked sausage, hot dogs, fish sandwiches and tacos in a bag, Eddy said. Chicken dinners will feature smoked baked beans on Saturday and green beans on Sunday, she said.
The afternoon entertainment on Saturday will be Pickin' on Country. The local band will perform from 2-6 p.m.
A church service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the watershed site. The pastor is Erin Curtis of the Lawrence Baptist Church, but all churches are invited to attend and participate, Eddy said.
"It so special to be outside on a fall morning," Eddy said.
Apple butter will be made both afternoons and will be ready about mid-afternoon, she said. The apple butter that will be jarred and sold is particularly popular, Eddy said.
A tractor tug pull will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday and a speed pull will be held at noon Sunday following the church service at the watershed site, she said.
