Picture this: Rising river

The Ohio River at Point Park in Parkersburg has risen some since heavy rains hit the area Tuesday. The area remains under a flood warning until 8 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Charleston, as flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. According to the warning, excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
