PARKERSBURG - People can participate locally in Thursday's meeting of the West Virginia Natural Resources Commission.
The meeting will be held simultaneously in each of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources' six districts, where the local commissioner and staff will be present to gather public input.
The in-person location for District 6 is the DNR office at 76 Conservation Way, Parkersburg. There will be an opportunity for public comments there. For those unable to attend in person, a view-only livestream will be available at youtube.com/@WVcommerce/streams.
The agenda includes review and approval of the 2027-28 Small Game and Furbearer Hunting and Trapping Regulations; the 2027 Fishing Regulations; an upland game bird/dove presentation; and an update on the Wildlife Disease Reporting System.
The Natural Resources Commission serves as an advisory body to the DNR on issues related to conserving the state's natural resources and protecting fish and game species. More information is available online at WVdnr.gov/natural-resources-commission.
