Magistrate court records

PARKERSBURG – Wood County Magistrate Court recently released the following reports:

* Josie Elizabeth Grogg, 1917 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to welfare fraud, $500 or less, and was sentenced to jail for one year, suspended for two years of unsupervised probation. She was assessed $176.48 and ordered to pay $5,231 restitution to the West Virginia Department of Human Services.

* Shawn Richie Jones, 2033 Riser Ridge Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to driving while license is suspended or revoked and possession of a controlled substance and was assessed $562.96. As part of a plea agreement, charges were dismissed for no vehicle registration or title, failure to maintain motor vehicle insurance and a seat belt violation.

* Alan Keith Philpott Jr., 114 Chateau Hills Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction of law enforcement with threats of harm and was assessed $276.48.

* Christie Rhodes Crain, 13 Jones St., Minerals Wells, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, less than 0.15 BAC; was sentenced to six hours in jail, already served; and was assessed $361.48.

* Laura Jean Shaffer, 2906 Ninth St., Apt. 9, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to first-offense child abuse, failure to register, and was assessed $426.48.

* Chad Michael Wilson, c/o Oriana House, 700 Putnam St., seventh floor, Marietta, pleaded guilty to one count of trespassing and was assessed $276.48.

* Jonathan Michael Range, 117 Forest Ave., Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and one count of driving while license is suspended or revoked. He was assessed $186.48 for each shoplifting offense and $276.48 for the license charge. He was also ordered to pay a civil penalty of $149.48 directly to Smoker Friendly and $180.00 to 7-Eleven at 3000 Emerson Ave., Parkersburg.

* Brandon Michael Zirkle, 1252 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of fraudulent schemes, was assessed $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail.

* Jonathon Michael Loncala, 734 Lulu St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obtaining money under false pretenses, was assessed $876.48 and was sentenced to six months of home confinement.

In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to threatening crime to a person or property in telephone calls and second-offense driving while suspended. He was assessed $462.96 and sentenced to 30 days of home confinement, to be served consecutively to the other sentence. As part of a plea agreement, one count of domestic assault was dismissed.

* A charge of grand larceny was dismissed against Terrie Marie Stover, 155 Warren Ave., Parkersburg.

* Charges of driving on a suspended/revoked license and no proof of insurance were dismissed against Michael Robert Lonobile, 4425 17th Ave., Parkersburg.

* A charge of domestic battery was dismissed without prejudice against Hunter Riley Thomas, 18 Mitchells Way, Washington, W.Va.

* Charges of operation without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate and expired motor vehicle registration were dismissed against Matthew Wade Parsons, 414 South St., Parkersburg.

* A charge of battery was dismissed without prejudice against Chad Avery Russell, 103 Canterbury Drive, Parkersburg.

* Beverly Ann Wilson, 1725 Latrobe St., Latrobe Street Mission, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of violation of protective order, was assessed $426.48 and was sentenced to 24 hours in jail, already served.

* Devin James Clark, 706 Eighth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while license is suspended or revoked and one count of following too close, and was assessed $457.96.

* James Michael Hayes, 704 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of second-offense possession with intent and persons prohibited from possessing firearms. Two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of fleeing or attempting to flee from law enforcement in a vehicle were dismissed to be prosecuted with the other charges.

* Amanda Dawn Goodman, 288 Capenters Run Road, Waverly, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-offense child abuse, failure to register, and was assessed $426.48. As part of a plea agreement, a second charge of first-offense child abuse, failure to register, was dismissed.

* A charge of cruelty to animals was dismissed, without prejudice, against Lisa Marie Myers, 33 Third St., Parkersburg.

* A charge of dogs running at large was dismissed against Jerry Lee Maston Jr., 20 Woodland Park Drive, Parkersburg.

* Jacob William West, 1213 14th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to DUI, was assessed $361.48 and sentenced to seven hours in jail, already served.

* Zachary Thomas Loscar, 702 Pike St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of speeding and was assessed $181.48.

* Wanda Louise Duley, 62 Easy St., Williamstown, pleaded guilty to one count each of vehicle operation without evidence of registration and no insurance. She was assessed $557.96.

* Amy Lynn Hortonn, 265 Mitchell Drive, Newport, pleaded guilty to one count of speeding and was assessed $181.48.

* Adam Robert Price, 411 Market St., Spencer, pleaded guilty to smoking in a vehicle with a child and was assessed $25. A charge of operation of a vehicle without evidence of registration was dismissed after proof of registration was provided.

* Ryan Dean Beck, 285 Sunview Hill, Harrisville, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $196.48.

* Benjamin T Cook III, 827 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $181.48.

* Adam Michael Parsons, 377 Hunter Lane, Grantsville, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $196.48.

* Madison Michelle Griffis, 118 Lois Ave., Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding in a school zone and was assessed $276.48.

* David John West, 303 Fisher Ridge Road, Fleming, pleaded guilty to no seatbelt and was assessed $25.

* Malachi Javon Crider, 57 Bickle Mansion Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no operator’s and was assessed 181.48. A charge of no insurance was dismissed after proof of insurance was provided.

* Jordan L Speece, 24 Ashwood Drive, Vienna, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license, miscellaneous, and following too closely. He was assessed $457.96.

* Megan Lynn George, 1600 25th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of inhaling intoxicating compounds, destruction of property and battery and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Dorothy May Gibson, 1511 15th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender and held on a $100,000 surety bond.

* Christopher Allen Williams, 46 Oak St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Hunter Robert Ryan-Cline, 1617 Andrew St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of reckless driving and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Aaron Michael Ratliff, 425 Third St., Apt. 3, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of speeding and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Gregory Dustin Miller, 6 Ashwood Drive, Vienna, was arraigned on charges of driving while license is suspended or revoked and driving while under the influence of a controlled substance or drugs and released on a $500 cash and $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Timothy James Newbrough, 825 Seventh St./House to Home, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of petit larceny and destruction of property and held on a $4,000 surety bond.
