Jeep Jam 2026 deemed a success

MINERAL WELLS – The Ohio Valley Jeep Club’s Jeep Jam 2026 was successful, organizers of the second annual festival said.

Jeep Jam was held May 30 at the West Virginia Interstate Fairgrounds with more than 160 Jeeps were in attendance, making the event the largest single Jeep festival in West Virginia.

“We had an amazing turnout in the Junior Jeepers area,” Misty Knight, a Jeep Club ambassador, said. “We really are appreciative of the Parkersburg High School Student Council, who came out to help with our children’s activities.”

Jeep Jam 2026 featured new and expanded attractions, including a double-car crush, a new obstacle course and an upgraded Junior Jeepers area to entertain the club’s youngest enthusiasts. The children’s area included a 50-foot kids’ obstacle course, free face painting by local teens and free balloon animals provided by Balloon Creations by Joe.

Among highlights of the day was Sparkle ‘n Shine, a show with 62 Jeeps competing in multiple categories.

“It is always amazing to see the different types of Jeeps out there,” events director Missy Plumly said. “We had old Jeeps, brand new Jeeps and Jeeps with some pretty fascinating upgrades.”

Jeep modifications included customized builds by America’s Most Wanted to at-home projects, showcasing the creativity and diversity in the Jeep community.

Jeep Jam 2026 also was a major fundraising success. Half of the $20 gate fee per Jeep was donated to the West Virginia Interstate Fairgrounds Fair Board, totaling more than $1,500, with the remaining proceeds supporting Ohio Valley Jeep Club Cares, the club’s community outreach program.

“We are happy to partner with (West Virginia) Interstate for this amazing fundraiser,” Jeep Club President Brad Hackney said. “Not only does OVJC Cares benefit from everyone who attended, the fair board gets money to support their programming. Jeep Jam really is a win-win for our club and the fairgrounds.”

More than 50 vendors, many Jeep-specific, and two food trucks participated, all arranged around the perimeter of the grounds to allow Jeep owners to park, display their rigs and meet with fellow enthusiasts.

“We are beyond grateful for every club member, Jeep owner and vendor who came through the gate,” Scott Jones, Jeep Club vice president, said. “We are able to get people together with a common interest for a day of fun, while helping support our club’s future.”

Jeep Jam is the largest fundraiser of the year for the club and helps fund donations to food banks, support families of children with cancer, provide gifts through Toys for Tots and assist veterans organizations in the region. The club this week donated $1,000 to Combat to Kayaks.
