RIPLEY – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a female suspect who was allegedly part of a massive theft from a residence near Evans.

The department is involved in an extensive burglary investigation that resulted in two warrants for Samantha Jo Carte and Emily Beth Archer, according to a post on the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page.

“The two individuals entered the home when the owner was away and stole approximately $55,000 worth of numerous guns, large volumes of rare silver coins, and other valuable collectibles,” the post said. “The two also stole the homeowner’s vehicle from the driveway.”

Carte was apprehended in Gallia County, Ohio, while Archer is still on the run.
