Young at Heart ministry to offer tips for hiring contractors
PARKERSBURG – First United Methodist Church’s Young at Heart senior ministry announced its spring program, “Tips on Hiring Contractors and Handymen!” will be presented by a panel of two local professionals at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14.
Panelists Jodie Bonnette, president of Moran Construction Inc., and Dan Harrison, president of Harrison Construction Inc., will be on hand to answer questions from senior citizens regarding how and when to employ prospective hires for fixing, renovating and building, according to an announcement from the church.
Bonnette has dedicated 22 years of service to Moran Construction.
Harrison has, in the last 45 years, completed thousands of remodeling, renovation and repair projects. He has a full general contractor’s license in Ohio and West Virginia and carries a master’s license in plumbing and electrical. He is also certified as a professional court witness in construction legal cases.
Doors will open at 10:45 a.m. with the program running from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Although there is no charge for admission, donations are appreciated.
