North Hills council meets

North Hills residents gathered at the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna Thursday after concerns were raised following a March 26 vote by the Town Council to permanently close the community pool. According to a release from residents opposed to the closure, the agenda for that March 26 council meeting listed “Pool items – updates” but did not clearly indicate that a final vote on permanent closure would be considered. The release said town officials have cited financial concerns and engineering evaluations regarding the pool’s long-term viability as factors in the decision.
