Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were released by Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 3:
* Payton A. Wilson,1503 Michaelis Road, Marietta, was arraigned on charges of an insufficient flotation devices violation and having an unregistered/expired boat registration and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* John Christopher Cleland, 2545 Williamstown Pike, Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and destruction of property and released on bond.
* Wesley Dale Buffington, 607 31st St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having defective equipment and having no insurance and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Steven Lee Knicley, 825 Seventh St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of third-offense shoplifting. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Richard Alan Davis II, 1316 Market St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on charges of breaking and entering a non-residence and an attempt to commit a felony punishable by imprisonment for a term less than life. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Falecia Dawn Paulk, 4104 16th Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to two charges of shoplifting and fined $226.48. She was ordered to pay a $109.50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Ann Street in Parkersburg and a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg. She had a charge of trespassing in a condemned structure dismissed.
* Richard John Carlton Mickens, 3755 Laguna Drive, Columbus, had a preliminary hearing waived for charges of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I, II or III controlled substance and manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or methamphetamine. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Cortney Renee Thomas, 1006 West Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction with threats of harm, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 36 days in jail, which was ruled as time served. She had a charge of fleeing from law enforcement and obstruction with threats of harm dismissed, per a plea agreement. She also pleaded guilty to violating a protective order, fined $436.48 and sentenced to 36 days in jail, ruled as time served.
* Scott Edward Davis, 1412 School St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail and placed on six months of unsupervised probation. He had another charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and a charge of driving on a suspended license dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Charles Ray Buck III, 1422 19th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of 12 days for time served.
* Cortney Renee Thomas, c/o 1006 West Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to fleeing from law enforcement, fined $186.48 and sentenced to 36 days in jail which was ruled as time served. Charges of obstruction with threats of harm and being a pedestrian on the wrong side of the highway were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Wilmadean L. Wilson, 90 Comer St., Parkersburg, had charges of failure to yield and of having an expired license dismissed as the defendant had a valid license, the state does not wish to pursue charges and the defendant is no longer driving.
* Matthew Grant White, 3002 Ninth Ave., Vienna, had charges of destruction of property and assault dismissed as the alleged victim was not present in court.
* James D Grubb, 2305 Ivy Lane NE, Lancaster, had charges of failure to keep right and having no proof of insurance dismissed.
* Joseph Trey Nicholson, 3507 Plum St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing on a charge of burglary waived. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Emma Carol Hilson, 2008 36th St., Apt. A, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on 10 counts of possession of counterfeit or unauthorized access device with an intent to defraud. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Tyanna Nicole Martin, 2005 Lewis Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.
* Thomas E. Wilford, 3152 Wadesville Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded no contest to speeding (85 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $186.48.
