PARKERSBURG – Wood County Commissioner Bob Tebay said this morning he is retiring from office, effective March 5.

Tebay has served on the commission for 23 years.

“That’s a long time,” said Tebay, 91.

Commissioners will select someone to serve until a new commissioner is elected, County Administrator Marty Seufer said. The seat is on the November general election ballot. Tebay did not file to run for re-election.
