PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Urban Renewal Authority will convene for a regular meeting on Tuesday after the council meeting, which meets at 7:30 p.m.
Among items on the authority agenda for the regular meeting are:
* An application from Shawn Cox to purchase 639 Madison Ave. Cox bid $2,000 for the .17 acre parcel from the authority, which has $1,497 invested in it. Cox plans to extend his yard.
* An application from Jeff Morris of Land Shark Investments for the authority to purchase the property at 800-802 Seventh St. for $100,000. A recent appraisal set the fair market value at $55,000.
The staff summary report said Morris plans to move from Seventh Street to his property at 1316 St. Marys Ave. where he has offered to buy the adjacent lots owned by the authority at 1312-1314 St. Marys Ave. to extend a yard, which is on the agenda following the Seventh Street item.
* Consideration of exercising a reversionary clause at 915 26th St. The property was sold to Dennis Workman in 2023 with the condition that construction of a residential dwelling be initiated in two years. The clause allows the city to reclaim the property if an approved building permit has not been obtained by the two-year anniversary of the transfer in March 2023.
* An application from Brigette Williams to purchase 4106 14th Ave. with an offer of $3,000. The city has $979.51 invested in the property that was acquired this year.
Williams plans to extend a yard.
Also on Tuesday, the Finance Committee of the city council will meet at 6:30 p.m. The only item on the agenda is a budget revision to reallocate $250,000 from stormwater contractual services to the Capital Reserve Fund then to the City Park pond project.
