PARKERSBURG — A Parkersburg man was sentenced this week to 20-100 years imprisonment on four counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.

Patrick Vaughn Frazier, 70, North Central Regional Jail, appeared Monday before Wood County Circuit Judge Robert Waters for sentencing after reaching a plea deal.

According to a release from the Parkersburg Police Department from January, Frazier was arrested following a Jan. 22 interview.

The investigation began in December 2024 after two female children under the age of 10 told their parents Frazier had inappropriately touched them at his residence on Stella Street, the release said. At the time, Frazier was involved in a relationship with someone related to them, it said.

The children were interviewed at the North Star Child Advocacy Center, resulting in a search warrant being obtained for Frazier’s residence, the original release said.

During the interview on Jan. 22, Frazier admitted to sexually abusing one of the children on nine separate occasions, the release said.

Frazier was originally indicted last March on four counts of first-degree sexual assault, eight counts of first-degree sexual abuse and 12 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or person of trust from August 2022 through October 2024.

Circuit Court personnel said Frazier got 300 days credit on one count and no credit for the other charges. All of the sentences will run consecutively.

Starting at $2.99/week.
