MARIETTA — The Washington County Grand Jury indicted 24 people this week, including a Marietta man on charges of rape involving a minor.

Jeremy Allen Hines, 32, 27830 State Route 7, Marietta, was charged on two counts of rape, both first-degree felonies. Starting in July 2021, the charges allege that Hines engaged in sexual conduct with a minor who was 9 years old and continued until July 31, 2023.

Other individuals indicted include:

* Devon Nicole Cloverdale, 2126 Vinton Ave., Portsmouth, Ohio, joint with Kaylin Lynn Mobberly-Connell, 44, 201 Main Street, Lower Salem; both charged with harassment with a bodily substance, a third-degree felony, from September.

* Gerald Lee Kimble II, 60, Marietta; two counts of domestic violence, one first-degree misdemeanor and one fourth-degree misdemeanor, from August.

* Eric Wayne Nutter, 60, 480 Rummer Road, Apartment B, Marietta; two counts of menacing by stalking, both fourth-degree felonies, from September.

* David Saul McDaniel, 41, 648 Brick St., Middleport, Ohio; grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, and two counts of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, both third-degree felonies, from September.

* Joshua David Fortney, 50, Marietta; domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and two counts of strangulation, both fourth-degree felonies, from September.

* Christopher Lee Chafin, 40, 2475 Third Ave., Huntington, joint with David Scott Armstrong, 35, 55 Kitts Drive, Waterford; both charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, from January 2023.

* Angela A. Cline, 49, 202 Pickering St., Parkersburg; aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, from January.

* William Joseph Kerns, 41, 1127 19th St., Parkersburg; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, from May 2024.

* Virginia Leigh McClanahan, 29, 2630 Vaughan Ave., Parkersburg, joint with Candice Faye Willis, 38, 215 11th St., Parkersburg; both charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, from October 2024.

* Benjamin Dean Comer, 45, 1986 Long Meadow Drive, Charleston, joint with David Anthony Snyder, 39, 1260 Greenbrier St., Charleston; Comer is charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, while both are charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, from October.

* Jacob Corey Cook, 30, 176 Hasting Hill Road, Portsmouth, joint with Thomas James “TJ” Walters, 50, 2165-B Millers Run Fallen Timber Road, Lucasville, Ohio, and Samantha Alicia Cooper, 30, 1873 Dogwood Ridge Road, Apartment C, Wheelersburg, Ohio; Cook and Walters are charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a second-degree felony, and theft, a fifth-degree felony. Cook has an additional fifth-degree felony theft charge. Cooper is charged with fifth-degree felony theft from August and September.

* Khalib Asad Bond, 28, 6047 Manor House Way, Dublin, Ohio; failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony, from August.

* Matthew Jacob Trezza, 30, 150 Camelot Road, Lot 31, Belpre; failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony, from October.

* Jamur Leon Allen, 43, 31 E. Maplewood Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, joint with Rebecca Lou Sergent, 35, 1320 Caywood Road, Marietta; both charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony, and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony. Hines is charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Sergent has an additional two counts, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony, and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony, from June to October.

* Jessica Renee Queen, 31, 708 George St., Belpre; two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, both second-degree felonies, two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, one first-degree felony, one fifth-degree felony, two counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, one first-degree felony and one fifth-degree felony.

* Leroy Douglas Rousseau, 37, 731 Glendale Road, Apartment 12, Marietta, joint with Angela Danielle Hutson, 38, 731 Glendale Road, Apartment 12, Marietta; both charged with possession of cocaine, a first-degree felony, trafficking in cocaine, a first-degree felony, two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both second-degree felonies. Rousseau is charged with having a weapon while under disability, a third-degree felony. Hutson is charged with endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.

* John Robert Thompson, 49, 233 Hillcrest Drive, Apartment D, Marietta; six counts of theft of mail, all fifth-degree felonies.
