PARKERSBURG – A Wood County man has been arrested in connection with the 2014 murder of Vienna resident Cindy Ball.

Gregory A. Casto, no age or address listed, was indicted on a murder charge by a special session of the Wood County Grand Jury, according to a release today from Prosecutor Pat Lefebure.

“He was taken into custody today without incident,” he said.

The indictment was initially sealed and must be unsealed by a court order before it can be released, Lefebure said.

Ball’s body was discovered by hunters in a rural area of Wirt County on Oct. 24, 2014. According to West Virginia State Police at the time, Ball was reported missing on Oct. 23, a day after she was last seen leaving with someone from the Overtime Sports Bar on Emerson Avenue in Parkersburg.
