VIENNA — WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center hosted nearly 150 guests at its Dinner with the Docs “Knowing the Right Place for the Right Care” event Tuesday at the Grand Pointe Conference Center.

Event participants engaged in a discussion featuring experts in family medicine, pediatrics, hospital medicine, primary care and urgent care services. The evening’s conversation went over local treatment options and the best location for seeking care for varying illnesses and injuries.

The evening’s featured panelists included Jordan Beckett, DO (Pediatric Hospital Medicine); Gabriella Olson, MD (Primary Care/Hospital Medicine); Anthony Thorpe, DO (Hospital Medicine); Reid Strobl, MD (Primary Care); and Zachary Buchanan, FNP (Urgent Care).

Camden Clark Vice President of Ambulatory Services Vince McClosky served as the panel moderator, while President & CEO Sean Smith provided a welcome and opened the evening’s discussion.

“As respiratory season approaches, it’s critical to highlight the care options available so patients know where to seek treatment,” McClosky said. “This helps ensure timely, efficient care while keeping Emergency Department resources available for those who truly need them. “When patients choose the appropriate level of care, it supports our ability to deliver effective treatment in primary care and urgent care settings while reducing ER wait times. However, no matter the circumstances or where you seek care, we’re here to serve and support the community.”
