Washington County Grand Jury indicts 16

MARIETTA — The Washington County Grand Jury indicted 16 people this week, including a former manager at Ergon’s Newport terminal accused of stealing nearly $900,000 from the company over several years, using the funds to acquire more than 150 firearms and other items, Washington County Prosecutor Nicole Coil said.

Brian Keith Hadley, 55, 105 Chestnut St., Belmont, was indicted for aggravated theft, a second-degree felony, with numerous specifications for the forfeiture of weapons and property. He previously held a managerial role at the Ergon terminal and allegedly used company accounts and credit cards to make unauthorized purchases, Coil said. Coil also stated that some of the receipts were altered and submitted for approval, while others he approved himself due to his position.

“He utilized the accounts of Ergon to credit cards to be able to purchase, you know, I can’t give you the exact number of guns, but it’s north of 150 guns,” Coil said.

Others indicted include:

* Jessica Marie Biehl, 30, 511 Ferguson St., Marietta; tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, two counts of attempted grand theft of a motor vehicle, both fifth-degree felonies, and one count of assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.

* Zachory Darrell Burdette, 35, Marietta; strangulation, a fourth-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

* Alexis Marie Slack, 23, 404 Montgomery St. Apt E, Marietta; two counts of failure to appear before the recognizance, both fourth-degree felonies.

* Dory Dejuan Darden, 40, 2552 Slate Run Road, Belleville; two counts of failure to appear before the recognizance, both fourth-degree felonies.

* John William Gibson, 45, 414 Fourth Ave., Parkersburg; two counts of conspiracy, both second-degree felonies, and attempted trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a second-degree felony.

* Timothy Scott Mackey, 44, Vincent; domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony, and assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.

* Thomas Edward Metcalf, 40, homeless; having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony, and two counts of violating a protection order, both fifth-degree felonies.

* Nathaniel Paul Webb III, 32, Marietta: felonious assault, a second-degree felony, abduction, a third-degree felony, strangulation, a fourth-degree felony, domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, unlawful restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor, and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor, from March to July.

* Terry A. Waterman, 53, homeless: aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, strangulation, a fifth-degree felony, domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, burglary, a second-degree felony, and violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor, from August.

* Craig Vincent Ciulla Jr., 45, 2200 Murray St., Lowell: attempted trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to present, a fifth-degree felony, from June.

* Shane Michael Hardie, 49, New Matamoras: domestic violence, a third-degree felony, aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal damaging or endangering, a first-degree misdemeanor, from August.

* Molly W. Rudolph, 49, 1001 ½ Front St., Marietta: aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from October 2024.

* Alison Blake Hinton, 38, and Steven Dale Hinton, 57, 607 Center St., Beverly: conspiracy, a third-degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and failure to comply with the order of a police officer, a third-degree felony, from April.

* Paul A. Lincoln, 60, 907 Washington St., Marietta: tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and processing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, from August.
