PARKERSBURG — Pond Creek Road in Wood County will be closed at milepost 1.55 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday for a culvert replacement, the Division of Highways said.

Flaggers will be present.

In Jackson County, a single lane will be closed on U.S. 33 beneath the William S. Ritchie Bridge from about 375 feet before the truss portion of the bridge on the Ohio side to milepost 0.2 on the West Virginia side on- and off-ramps through Friday for relocation of a communication line.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic and Minor delays are expected, and motorists are advised to plan accordingly.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the work schedules.

Minor delays are expected on Interstate 77 and U.S. 50 at milepost 176 between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. today and Thursday for bridge construction.

Detour signs are to be followed with the closure of U.S. 50 to prevent debris from impacting vehicles during welding and cleaning of the structure.
