PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Board of Education will meet at Parkersburg South High School on Tuesday for its second regular meeting in September.

The board will recognize the professional and service retirees for the 2025 year, will receive a presentation about the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ student program by David George, a renewable energy power proposal from Charles “Chip” Pickering, will recognize the schools in the district for their general summative assessment and receive an update on bond projects from Kaleb Lawrence, assistant superintendent of operations.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. It will also be live streamed on the district’s YouTube site.
