Involuntary manslaughter case among Washington County indictments

MARIETTA — Two men were indicted on involuntary manslaughter charges by the Washington County Grand Jury on Wednesday.
Christopher Allen Streight, 39, 221 South Sixth St., Marietta, and Dalton Matthew Ball, 37, last known address 6600 McManniss Riggs Road, Beverly, are charged with the death of Matthew Schafer.
On or about May 17, the pair “did cause the death” of Schafer by committing or attempting to commit the first-degree felony offense of trafficking in drugs. An assistant prosecutor declined to give additional information on the case.
Streight was also charged in the indictment with fifth-degree felony trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound from May and first-degree felony counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound from June.
Ball was also charged with first-degree felony trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, fourth-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs and fifth-degree felony trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound from May and June.
Ananda Joy Trembly, 49, 840 Pike St., Marietta, was listed as a co-defendant and charged with first-degree felony counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound from June.
Streight was also indicted in a separate case on two fourth-degree felony counts each of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony, from September and October 2023..
Ball was indicted in a separate case with co-defendant Destiny Dawn Wilkinson, 25, 2719 Finkle Hill Road, Beverly, on one count each of second-degree felony attempted trafficking of a fentanyl-related compound and fifth-degree felony possession of a fentanyl-related compound from May.
Ball was additionally charged in that case with a third-degree felony count of tampering with evidence and a fifth-degree felony count of vandalism, also from May.

* Tiffany Rachelle Radabaugh, 36, no address; possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony, from May 2023.
* Brittany Marie Smith, 36, 2 Aster Drive, Tridelphia, W.Va.: trafficking a fentanyl-related compound, first degree felony; and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, first degree felony, from August 2024
* Derrick Lamar Billups, 36, 685 Manchester Circle, Pickerington, Ohio: trafficking a fentanyl-related compound, first-degree felony; possession of a fentanyl-related compound, first-degree felony; aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, third-degree felony; trafficking in cocaine, third-degree felony; and possession of cocaine, third-degree felony, from May.
* Frances Nicholle White, 30, 1209 James Ave., Akron: trafficking a fentanyl-related compound, first-degree felony; possession of a fentanyl-related compound, first-degree felony; aggravated trafficking in drugs, third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, third-degree felony; and possession of cocaine, third-degree felony, from February.
* Anastasia Danielle Thomas, 23, 202 South Fourth St., Paden City: receiving stolen property, third-degree felony, from June 2024.
* Joshua D. Smith, 47, 150 Sandhill Road, Reno, and Heather Dawn Smith, 45, 150 Sandhill Road, Reno: aggravated theft, third-degree felony; and numerous specifications for the forfeiture of property and weapons, January 2019 through August 2024.
* Samantha Josephine Somers, 36, 165 Starlight Drive: obstructing justice, third-degree felony.
* Samuel Ryan Ward, 48, 1308 Williamstown Ave., New Matamoras; obstructing official business, fifth-degree felony, from August.
* Christopher Zack Snider, 54, 55930 Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, Ohio: aggravated possession of drugs, third-degree felony, from April.
* Brian Russell Morgan, 43, Marietta; aggravated vehicular assault, second-degree felony; two counts of endangering children, third-degree felony; operating a vehicle under the influence, first-degree misdemeanor; domestic violence, third-degree felony; felonious assault, second-degree felony, with repeat offender specification; domestic violence, third-degree felony; disrupting public services, fourth-degree felony; unlawful restraint, third-degree misdemeanor; abduction, third-degree felony; kidnapping, second-degree felony; strangulation, fifth-degree felony, from August.
* Dale Joseph Mincks, 35, 505 Second St., Marietta: breaking and entering, first-degree felony; desecration, fifth-degree felony; assault, first-degree misdemeanor; menacing, fourth-degree misdemeanor; criminal trespass, fourth-degree misdemeanor; and resisting arrest, second-degree misdemeanor, from September.
* James Tyler Morgan, 32, 409 27th St., Vienna: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony, from August.
* Homer Melvin Fry, 60, 206 Upper 15 Mile Creek Road, Wingett Run, Ohio: aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony; permitting drug abuse, first-degree misdemeanor; and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, fifth-degree felony, from August.
* Matthew S. Hill, 45, homeless: failure to appear as required by recognizance, fourth-degree felony, from August.
