Accident leaves one dead, OHP says
GALLIPOLIS – One man was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle accident on Ohio 850 in Gallia County, according to the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Jeremy Morehart, 35, Bidwell, Ohio, was killed when his 2004 Honda Accord went off the road, the patrol said. Morehead was driving south on State Route 850 when he drove off the right side of the road, overcorrected, crossed the road and continued off the left side, the patrol said.
The car struck a sign and a ditch causing it to overturn, the patrol said. Morehart was ejected
from the vehicle and the vehicle struck another sign, the patrol said.
Morehart was pronounced dead on the scene, the patrol said. He was not wearing a safety belt, the patrol said.
The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. near milepost 3 in Springfield Township.
The road was closed for two and half hours during the initial investigation, the patrol said. The crash remains under investigation.

County Coroner and the Willis Funeral Home.
