PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 28:
* Billy Paul Burton, 2316 Highland Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to destruction of property and simple assault, fined $352.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail.
* Cindy Lynn Givens, 71 Lewis Lane, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to DUI in an impaired state and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $537.96 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. A charge of driving on a suspended license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Kaylee Dawn Williams, 107 Post Mill Way Apt. 306, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to illegally passing a school bus and fined $676.48.
* Eric Leman Cumpston, 1011 Olive St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $286.48. He had five counts of violating a protective order dismissed with prejudice.
* Joseph Alan Sindledecker, 1328 Lynn St., Parkersburg, had charges of obstruction with threats of harm and disorderly conduct dismissed without prejudice.
* Rachel Elizabeth Barnhart, Vincent, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.
* Daniel Kwon Westfall, 534 5th St. Apt. 5, Parkersburg, had two counts of violating a protective order dismissed with prejudice.
* Justin Lee Knight, 740 29th St. Apt. 2, Parkersburg, had a charge of violating an emergency protective order dismissed after a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Robert Hugh Staats, 2134 Washington Blvd. Lot #3, Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Dustin Paul Kebler, 51406 Number Nine Road, Reedsville, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of speeding in a construction zone and released on $500 personal recognizance bond.
* Renee Lynn Lemley, 1004 27th St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of battery and released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
* Brown Willard Salyers, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $3,000 surety bond.
* Randi Donell Patterson, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and held on $3,000 surety bond.
* Jeremy L. Haynes, 1096 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, pleaded guilty to having no valid fuel IFTA decal and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $407.96.
* Torren Christopher Johnson, 5359 Flatwoods Road, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Darrin G. Fulton, 10735 St Rt 550, Vincent, pleaded no contest to speeding (99 mph in a 65 mph zone) and fined $276.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after proof of insurance was presented to the court.
* Jenny Rebecca Whisman, 1206 Carney Road, Charleston, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
