PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on May 15:
* Ronald Bruce Sheridan, 703 1/2 Locust St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Tyler Shane Cooper, 1013 Stadium Drive, Parkersburg, had charges of operating a vehicle without evidence of registration and having no insurance dismissed after proof was presented to the court.
* Crystal M. Runyon, 1041 24th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license, driving on a suspended license for DUI, having no insurance and improper registration, fined $552.96 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Tyler James Francis, 1026 Ball School Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and having no proof of insurance and fined $662.96.
* Shanniah C Kemp, 1334 Spring St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and trespassing and fined $552.96. She was ordered to pay a $252.84 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
* Cassandra Lynne Savely, New Plymouth, Ohio, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim informed the state they do not intend to cooperate.
* John Michael Sadler, 4251 Williamstown Pike Apt. 21, Williamstown, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license for DUI, fined $276.48 and sentenced to 45 days in the Wood County Holding Center which he was ordered to self-report to.
* Carl Shane Duckworth, 411 Elder St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after proof was provided to the court. He also pleaded guilty to having an unlawful vehicle on an access site and fined $196.48.
* Joshua Allen Chipps, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and third-offense driving on a suspended license, fined $562.96 and placed on 90 days of home confinement. Charges of reckless driving and domestic battery were dismissed without prejudice.
* Merri Elizabeth Tibbs, 264 Maple Shades Court, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to reckless driving with no bodily injury and fined $201.48. A charge of DUI with minors was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Cameron James Cowan, 2735 Bender Road, Marietta, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and expired registration and fined $452.96. He also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and fined $276.48.
* Dakota Lane Wilfong, 118 Aindrea Drive, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and released on $500 personal recognition bond.
* Douglas Eric Edgell, 3603 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 personal recognition bond.
* Robert James Florence, 2694 Pettyville Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (heroin) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (fentanyl) and released on $1,000 surety bond.
* Mickey Roger Smith, 217 Electric Ave., Belleville, was arraigned on a charge of failure to have proper sanitation disposal and released on $500 bond.
* Phillip Michael Parsons, 1560 County Road 31, Chesapeake W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and held on $3,500 bond.
* Gaston Willie Walker, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting, less than $500, and was released on a $500 personal recognition bond.
* Tyler James Francis, 1026 Ball School Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and was released on a $500 personal recognition bond.
* Christopher Scott Lamp, PO Box 940, Grantsville, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and released on $2,000 surety bond.
* Cody James Shamblen, 3290 Little Creek Road, LeRoy, W.Va., pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone (69 mph in a 55 mph zone) and a cell phone violation and fined $196.48.
* Lindsey Nicole James, 151 Gregg Lane, Walker, pleaded no contest to obstruction (boating) and fined $196.48.
* Lorissa Ann Harris, 907 Glendale Road, Cairo, pleaded no contest to shoplifting and fined $276.48. She was ordered to pay a $135.92 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
* Austin Cole Smith, 1123 24th St Apt B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed after proof was presented to the court.
* Andrew L Mazer Jr., 13813 Calaboone Road, Doylestown, Ohio, pleaded no contest to failure to obey a traffic control device and fined $186.48.
* Randy Eugene McGrew, 908 16th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $186.48. He was ordered to pay a $82.48 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
* Tasha Nicole Dawson, 253 Railroad Drive, Elizabeth, pleaded no contest to speeding (75 mph in a 40 mph zone) and failure to properly restrain a child in a moving motor vehicle and fined $382.96
* Faith L Sargent, 114 Seth Way, Georgetown, Ky., pleaded no contest to failure to obey a traffic control device and fined $186.48.
* George William McCrobie, 2629 Indian Creek Road, Alma, W.Va., pleaded no contest to failure to use a hands free device in regards to a cell phone and fined $276.48.
* Jason W Burkitt, 3930 Beaver Creek Road, Waverly, Ohio, pleaded guilty to failure to obey a traffic control device and fined $186.48.
* Amber Nicole Williams, 603 23rd St., Vienna, pleaded no contest to failure to use a hands free device in regards to a cell phone and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $372.96.
* Paula Jean Walker, 919 Moyer Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $276.48. She had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of forgery of a public certificate. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
