PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on drug charges Monday after a traffic stop in Parkersburg where 2 pounds of methamphetamine were found in the vehicle, the task force said.
Kevin Gardner, of Parkersburg, the driver, and Cidney Nichols, of Walker, were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, transporting meth into the state and conspiracy, the task force said.
Both were processed and arraigned and were being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $250,000 surety bond, the task force said.
A police dog made a positive indication on the vehicle, which was searched by officers who located the methamphetamine in a bag in the vehicle, the task force said.
