PARKERSBURG -- The following people appeared in Wood County Magistrate Court on April 16:
* A worthless check charge was dismissed against Aimee Moore, 270 Blair Ave., Mineral Wells, after she paid $68.68 in restitution and $176.48 in court costs.
* Brandon Jeffrey Hines, 515 23rd St., Vienna,pleaded guilty to destruction of property and was assessed court costs of $176.48 and restitution of $559.
* A shoplifting charge was dismissed against Charles David Fillinger Jr., 804 ½ Swann St., Parkersburg, as part of a deferred sentencing agreement.
* Valerie Lynn Smith Rebholz, 534 Beerman Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving with greater than 0.15 second and assessed court costs of $231.48 and placed on home confinement for six months. A citation for no insurance was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* Halleen N. Kincaid, 1315 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to shoplifting and was fined $10, assessed court costs of $176.48 and ordered to pay a $865.40 civil penalty to Dollar General in Williamstown.
* Les Allen Koon, 1323 ½ Oak St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to selling or furnishing beer to someone under 21 and was fined $25 and assessed court costs of $176.48.
* Tyler James Ash, Beckley, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on suspension and was fined $100 and assessed court costs of $176.48. A citation for operating a vehicle without evidence of registration was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* Joshua Wayne Bee, 487 Miller Ridge Road, Davisville, pleaded guilty to fleeing or attempting to flee from law enforcement in a vehicle and first offense driving under the influence. He was sentenced to one day in jail, already served, and 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He also was assessed $276.48 in fines and court costs. A charge of fleeing from a law enforcement officer in a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* Jimmie Denise Carter, 28 South Park Villa, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of forgery/uttering and held on a $5,000 surety bond. In a separate case, Carter waived a preliminary hearing on three counts of forgery/uttering.
* Curtis Franklin Rea, 1573 Williamstown Pike, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and held on a $15,000 surety bond.
* A preliminary hearing on a charge of manufacture and possession with the intent to deliver a narcotic or methamphetamine against Clarence Julius Smith, 107 Pickering St., Parkersburg, was waived.
* Xachery Thomas Carver, 2204 Sixth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $15 and assessed court costs of $176.48. A citation of no or expired registration was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
* David Eric Petty, 178 Cedar Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $5 and assessed court costs of $176.48.
* Eugene Henry Lewis Jr., 6252 Walker Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $10 and assessed court costs of $176.48.
* A citation of domestic battery was dismissed against Joshua Richard Knopp, 47 Hickory St., Parkersburg. The victim did not wish to pursue.
* Gerald Christopher Piggott, 619 Putnam St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while license was suspended or revoked as part of a plea agreement. He was fined $100 and assessed court costs of $176.48.
* Katie Jean Gibson, 804 Red Hill Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving while on suspension as part of a plea agreement and was fined $100 and assessed court costs of $176.48. The original charge was driving while on suspension or revoked for DUI.
