Washington County Grand Jury indicts Canton man on drug, assault and kidnapping charges

MARIETTA — A Washington County Grand Jury indicted a Canton man for drug, assault and kidnapping charges Wednesday.
Jontaveis Ladai Drake-Crockett, 24, of Canton, was charged with kidnapping, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, possession of cocaine and trafficking in cocaine, all first-degree felonies; aggravated possession of drugs and aggravated trafficking of drugs, both second-degree felonies; two counts of failing to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and two counts of vehicular assault, all third-degree felonies; and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and two counts of attempted vehicular assault, all fourth-degree felonies, from May 1.
Drake-Crockett’s indictment also included seven firearm specifications, a specification for forfeiture of a cell phone in a drug case, a specification for forfeiture of a gun in a drug case, a specification for forfeiture of money in a drug case and a specification for forfeiture of property. Drake-Crockett is currently being held in the Washington County Jail.
The grand jury also indicted 24 other defendants Wednesday including:
* Co-defendants Calvin James Carpenter, 41, 808 Quincy St., Parkersburg, and Jasmine Sue Rollyson, 26, 710 Pine Circle, Davisville, were indicted on separate charges. Carpenter was charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from August 2024. Rollyson was charged for possession of a fentanyl-related compound, aggravated possession of drugs, and possession of heroin, all fifth-degree felonies, from August 2024.
* Joshua Dakota-Eugene Hart, 28, homeless, was charged with tampering with records, a third-degree felony, and failure to provide notice of change in vehicle information or identifiers and failure to provide notice of change of address, both fourth-degree felonies, from October 2024 through March 2025.
* Dakota Ski Acores, 31, 907 Colegate Dr., Marietta, was charged with breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and misdemeanor theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, from July 2024.
* Frank Paul Corso, 38, 624 10th St., Huntington, was charged with theft and forgery, both fifth-degree felonies, from March 21.
* Timothy Noel McKinley, 27, 309 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, was charged with breaking and entering and theft, both fifth-degree felonies, from July 2022. McKinley was also indicted in a separate case on four counts of receiving stolen property, fourth-degree felonies, and one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony, from August 2022.
* Darrell Robert Poole III, 34 730 N. Seventh St., Marietta, was charged with failing to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony, from May 5. In a separate indictment, Poole was charged with two counts of having weapons while under disability, both third-degree felonies, receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, a fifth-degree felony, from April 29.
* Ian Kennedy Lockhart, 26, Lowell, was charged with disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony, domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and unlawful restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor, from April 3.
* Brandon James Doering, 35, 282 1/2 Pike St., Apt. 4, Marietta, was charged with trafficking in cocaine and having weapons while under disability, both third-degree felonies, and possession of cocaine, a second-degree felony, from March 4. The indictment included three firearm specifications, three specifications for forfeiture of a weapon, six specifications for forfeiture of a gun in a drug case and 14 specifications for forfeiture of property. Doering was also indicted in a separate case for attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor, from March 5.
* Christopher Irvin Frazier, 47, 16304 Sanford Ave., Cleveland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from December 2024.
* Co-defendants Cassandra Jo Tidd, 37, 2133 Murray St., Belpre; Zane Randal Mathis, 34, 1600 25th St., Parkersburg; and Dory D. Darden, 40, 2552 State Run Road, Belleville, were indicted on separate charges. Tidd was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from April 2023. Mathis was charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony, from April 2023. Darden was charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, both fourth-degree felonies, from April 2023. In a separate case, Tidd and Darden were con-defendants with Tayna Marie Dunn, 44, 811 Florence St., Belpre and were charged separately. Tidd was charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, from May 2023. Darden was charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, from May 2023. Dunn was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs, both second-degree felonies, from May 2023. Dunn’s indictment includes three specifications of forfeitures of a cell phone in a drug case and two specifications of a scale in a drug case.
* Joseph Calvin Hardway Jr., 41, 321 Steele Sawmill Road, Oakvale, W.Va., was charged with breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, misdemeanor theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal trespass, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, from March 17.
* Co-defendants Jennah Lee Robinson, alias Jenna Lee Luckeydoo, 36, 435 Francis Road, Lowell, and Justin Earl Robinson, 38, same address, were both indicted for theft from a person in a protected class, a third-degree felony, and attempted theft from a person in a protected class, a fifth-degree felony, from January 2024.
* Stephen Michael Shouldis, 34, 54304 New Portland Road, Portland, Ohio, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, from November 2024.
* Chrissy Ann Shepphard, 49, 1900 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, was charged with theft, a fifth-degree felony, from Jan. 20.
* Russell Allen McCabe, 57, 141 Franklin St., Marietta, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from Jan. 1,
* Robert James McFee, 48, 728 Burning Springs Road, Elizabeth, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and aggravated trafficking of drugs, both third-degree felonies, from December 2024.
