VIENNA — A man died Sunday after sustaining a self-inflicted gunshot wound in McDonough Park, police said.

Vienna Police Chief Carl Powell said officers responded to a report of a gunshot in the park before noon.

The incident happened near the restrooms at the park, Powell said. A gun was recovered at the scene.
