MARIETTA – A Washington County Grand Jury indicted 16 individuals last week, including a Wood County man accused of kidnapping and vehicular assault.

Ethan Michael Falls, 21, 157 Dickens Drive, Apt. 2, Mineral Wells, was indicted on a charge of kidnapping (first-degree felony), two charges of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer (third-degree felonies) and a charge of vehicular assault (third-degree felony) from March 25.

The charges allege that while Falls was kidnapping the victim, he was fleeing from police and in an attempt to flee, caused vehicular assault to the kidnapped victim.

Other indictments include:

* Carla Y. Clark, 41, 1811 Point Lookout Road, Stockport; failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony, from March 18.

* Carl Edward Rouse III, 48, homeless; trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, a fourth-degree felony, from March 7.

* Matthew Kevin Root, 40, 23796 Township Road, Coolville; receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, from Jan. 14. In another case, Root was also indicted for breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and theft from a person in a protected class, a fourth-degree felony, from December 2023.

* Megan Nicole Trefz, 35, P.O. Box 64, Williamstown; forgery, a fifth-degree felony, from December 2024.

* Zane Aaron Walker, 44, 1209 Gilchrist St., Marietta; strangulation, a fourth-degree felony, assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, from November 2024.

* Tiffany Grace Besserman, 45, 25855 Hillside Drive, Quaker City; identity fraud, a fourth-degree felony, from September 2022.

* Travis Ray Preston, 43, 128 Main St., Paintsville, Ky.; trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them, a first-degree misdemeanor, from March 18.

* Trevor Lee Sorrell, 32, 9847 Sand Ridge Road, Millfield; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from September 2023.

* Dusty Lynn Ferguson, 38, 16920 State Route 550, Marietta; attempted felonious assault, a third-degree felony, from Feb. 28.

* Robert Scott Wingrove, 61, 155 Wingrove Drive, Little Hocking; passing bad checks, a fifth-degree felony, from July 2024.

* Charles A. Roberts, 45, last known address 109 6th St., Beverly; arson, a fourth-degree felony, from May 2023.

* Justin Michael Davis, 42, 601 Barclay St., Lot 10, Belpre; having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony, grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, a third-degree felony, from Feb. 18.

* Kevin William Ritchie, 20, 123 Devol Drive, Marietta; improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them, a first-degree misdemeanor, from Feb. 22.

* Joshua Paul Young, 43, care of FCI – McDowell, 101 Federal Drive, Welch, W.Va.; failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony, receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, from September 2023.

* David Ray Johns, 41, 1485 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Crab Orchard, West Virginia; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, from July 2024.
