PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 23:
* Eric Andrew Mays, 514 55th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to speeding (84 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Emily Shae Pino, 117 Wedgewood Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $226.48. A charge of battery of government representatives, health care providers, utility workers, law enforcement or EMS was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Andrew Stanfill Knight, 112 Valley Mills Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to overtaking and passing a school bus and fined $676.48.
* Christopher Nicholas Clendenin, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $236.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on 18 months of unsupervised probation. A charge of cruelty to animals was dismissed, per a plea agreement and the charge was not supported by facts or evidence.
* Taye Jamasin Singer, 2320 Fifteen Mile Creek Road, Marietta, pleaded guilty to battery, fined $201.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and Singer was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Sarah Dawn Mullins, 1418 20th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to failure to report an accident and failure to maintain control and fined $362.96. A charge of a traffic control device violation was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Brayden Scott Brewster, 4308 Uhl St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order, fined $466.48 and placed on 30 days of home confinement.
* Robert David Clark, 1621 Avery St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to petit larceny, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* Melinda Kay Frederick, 1011 Teft St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail after a deferred sentence agreement was not completed.
* Scotty Joseph Byers, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of gross child neglect and three counts of second-offense sexual offender registration violation and held on $175,000 bond.
* Amanda Carol Belcher, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting, less than $500, and released on $500 bond.
* Aidan Matthew Martin, 5380 Johnson Ridge Road, Waterford, was arraigned on charges of stalking and obstruction and held on $1,000 bond.
* Joshua David Stanley, 708 Neal St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery and destruction of property and released on $1,500 bond.
* Misty Dawn Hutson, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,500 bond.
