PARKERSBURG — Police recently charged a Parkersburg man with nine counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

According to a release from Parkersburg Police Chief Matthew Board, Patrick Vaughn Frazier, 69, was arrested following a Jan. 22 interview and held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.

The investigation began in December after two female children under the age of 10 told their parents Frazier had inappropriately touched them at his residence on Stella Street, the release said. At the time, Frazier was involved in a relationship with someone related to them, it said.

The children were interviewed at the North Star Child Advocacy Center, resulting in a search warrant being obtained for Frazier’s residence, the release said.

During the interview on Jan. 22, Frazier admitted to sexually abusing one of the children on nine separate occasions, the release said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
