PARKERSBURG — The man who was arrested for the deaths of a Walker couple in late May was indicted this week by the Wood County Grand Jury.

The Wood County Prosecutor’s Office released the indictments Friday for 91 defendants.

Bradley Joseph Cantwell, of Walker, was indicted on two counts of murder, first-degree arson, two counts of concealment of a deceased human body and petit larceny from May 2024.

He was charged in the May 19, 2024, deaths of James Clifton Bailey, 41, and Felicia Jean Goff, 40, of 389 Morgan Ridge Road, Walker, where a house fire occurred. As the fire was brought under control, firefighters gained entry to the residence and discovered two persons inside the structure, both deceased, according to a press release from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department at the time.

It was later determined that both victims had died after sustaining gunshot wounds prior to the setting of the fire, the press release said.

According to the criminal complaint, Cantwell had been a resident in the home and was told around May 16 to leave and not come back.

Cantwell was seen by a witness at the residence of Bailey and Goff the morning of the fire and a short time before the fire was reported. He reportedly told a witness he was going to go to jail for a long time.

He is currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail.

In an unrelated case, Hearl Thomas Collins, 31, of Vienna, was indicted on charges of murder and child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

Collins was arrested July 21, 2024, in Harrison County and charged with the murder of 22-year-old Morgan Lee Stutler-Lott.

At approximately 3:57 p.m. Saturday, July 20, Vienna Police were dispatched to 1000 19th St. Apartment 6, Vienna, for an unresponsive person, according to a Vienna Police release. It said officers located Stutler-Lott inside and she had suffered from an apparent gunshot wound. It said Stutler-Lott was located by a family member who immediately contacted 911.

Working with the United States Marshals Office and the West Virginia State Police, officers located Collins at a residence in Stonewood, W.Va., in Harrison County on Sunday, July 22, according to the press release.

Collins is currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail,

* Deane Allen Beck Jr., 44, 1008 30th St., Parkersburg, was indicted on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and second-offense driving on a suspended/revoked license from October 2024.

* Christian Gale Biles, 20, 1214 11th St., Vienna, was indicted on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver from February and March 2024.

* Justin T. Gibbs, 33, 827 Ridge St., Marietta, was indicted on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substance from February 2024.

* Timothy James Brown, 43, Parkersburg, was indicted on charges of third-offense domestic battery and brandishing a deadly weapon from July 2024.

* John Calhoun, 64, 2212 Tygart St., Parkersburg, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and maintaining a residence for keeping controlled substances from July 2024.

* Aaron Wayne Callihan, 46, 2617 27th Ave., Parkersburg, was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver from April 2024.

* William Joseph Carter Jr., 40, Marietta, was indicted on two counts of child abuse creating risk of injury and two counts of domestic battery from August 2024.

* David Elwood Chaney, 46, currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail, was indicted on a charge of burglary from February 2024.

* Christopher Cullen Cooper, 34, currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail, was indicted on charges of attempted grand larceny, obstructing an officer and battery of a law enforcement officer from August 2024.

* Ashley Renee Curry-Vaughn, 46, 116 Canterberry Drive, Parkersburg, was indicted on charges of child neglect creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury, driving a vehicle in an impaired state and obstructing an officer from August 2024.

* Christopher P. Cunningham, 37, unknown address, was indicted on three counts of solicitation to commit felony crime of violence from December 2023 to July 2024.

* Brenda Lau Dailey, 45, 1818 Beaver St., Parkersburg, was indicted on charges of breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit a felony from May 2024.

* Scott Anthony Daniels, 35, unknown address, was indicted on two counts of strangulation and two counts of third-offense domestic battery from December 2023 to April 2024.

* Rhonda Renee Patterson, 57, 2600 27th Ave., Parkersburg, was indicted on a charge of conspiracy to commit possession of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to deliver from August 2024.

* David Paul Hamilton, 43, 4104 16th Ave., Parkersburg, was indicted on possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony from September 2024.

* Kimberly Ann West, 33, currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail, was indicted on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts maintaining a dwelling for using, keeping or selling of controlled substances, forgery, uttering and false pretenses from December 2023 to August 2024.

* Eric Hampton Stevens, 42, 716 30th St., Parkersburg, was indicted on charges of second-offense possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, second-offense conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, maintaining a dwelling for using, keeping or selling of controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance from December 2023.
