PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 18:
* Aaron Patrick Aman, 5188 Garfield St., Clarksburg, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $191.48.
* Dalmin O. Sorto Jimenex, 5400 Marlene Dr., Lanham, Md., pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
* Byron Lee Dearth, 113 Andrea Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding (87 mph in a 55 mph zone) and fined $191.48.
* Carl Andrew Nestor, 9 Lawnsdale View, Vienna, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and fined $676.48.
* Amber Louise Kyer, 3015 1/2 Camden Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second offense shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.
* Lindsay Marie Stehly, 824 Lakeview Dr. Apt 208B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense DUI, fined $231.48 and placed on home confinement for one year.
* Aaron Luke Cross, 52 Dempsie Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $10. He had charges of driving on a revoked license for DUI, having no proof of insurance and having expired registration dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Sarah Elizabeth Lane, 29 Jackson Hill Rd. Apt. 118, Pineville, W.Va., pleaded guilty to fleeing, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 8 hours in jail which was ruled as time served. A charge of obstruction with threats of harm was dismissed.
* Maurice Burton, 213 Oak St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $512.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with a credit of 12 days for time served.
* Jacob William Thornton, 1103 Market St. Apt. 204, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to assault of government representatives, health care providers, utility workers, law enforcement; battery of government representatives, health care providers, utility workers, law enforcement or EMS; obstruction with threats of harm; fined $689.44 and sentenced to 60 days on home confinement.
* Rhonda Sue Freeland, 161 Hospitality Lane Room 118, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and having no insurance and fined $652.96.
* Ronald Paul Parkins, 1013 George St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI (less than .15 BAC), fined $571.48 and sentenced to one day in jail which was ruled as time served. A charge of reckless driving was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Donald Floyd Martin, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $226.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on 12 months of unsupervised probation.
* Amanda Pearl Lockhart, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice, per the alleged victim’s request.
* Christopher Scott Lamp, 240 Court St., Grantsville, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $352.96 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He was ordered to do substance abuse treatment. He was ordered to pay a $1,110.08 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
* James Edward Arnold, 66 Hill Ave, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (84 mph in a 70 mph zone) and fined $181.48.
* Cassandra Marie Facemier, 101 Dempsey Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving too fast for roadway conditions and fined $462.96. He had charges of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription (two counts) and obstruction with threats of harm dismissed after completing a successful deferred sentence agreement.
* Jody Minnette Shields, PO Box 2078, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI in an impaired state and having no insurance, fined $1,387.96 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and Shields was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage and failure to process were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Kimberly Dawn Woods, 512 Ninth Ave. Apt. D, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $201.48. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Dollar General store on Dupont Road in Parkersburg.
* Rhea Layel Lee, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction with threats of harm and fined $176.48. A charge of shoplifting was dismissed. She also pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $186.48. She was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.
* William Douglas Shaffer, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, fined $176.48, sentenced to six months in jail and placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He had a charge of third-offense shoplifting dismissed, per plea agreement. He pleaded guilty to another charge of second-offense shoplifting, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He was ordered to undergo a treatment program. All of the sentences will run concurrently.
* Darren Craig Farnese, 27335 St. Rt. 7 Lot 8, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver meth and released on $25,000.
* Otis Lee Boley, PO Box 404, Anstead, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction, failure to process and destruction of property and held on $4,000 bond.
* Logan Matthew Jarvis, 2503 12th Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on $2,000 bond.
* Christopher Colt Whisnant, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violating a protective order and held on $500 bond.
* Marley O. Umensetter, 1404 15th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having no proof of insurance, expired MVI and having expired registration and released on $250 bond.
* Gary Dwayne Halstead, 751 Stringer Branch Road, Peytona, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of going the wrong way on a one way street and released on $500 bond.
* Joshua Richard Knapp, 47 Hickory St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct and released on $1,000 bond.
* Melissa Rae Shuman, 600 Braxton St., Gassaway, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.
