PARKERSBURG -- Artsbridge's Summer Music Series in City Park continues Thursday, July 11, from 6:30-8 p.m. with the musical group Band of Brothers.
This event is sponsored by North Bend Wealth Management and the City of Parkersburg. This week will feature Stephen Givens as an opener. Several food vendors will be available for patrons this week.
Band of Brothers is a classic rock band based out of Parkersburg. They cover classic rock from the '50s to the '90s with a little classic country thrown in. With seven members, Band of Brothers covers a wide variety of music such as Bob Seger, The Rolling Stones, Bad Company, The Eagles, The Steve Miller Band, Journey, The Doobie Brothers, and many others.
The band has been playing locally and regionally for nearly 13 years.
Givens is from Little Hocking, and has been performing for over 20 years. His musical background is primarily Christian Acapella, but he also plays guitar and is a singer/songwriter that recently released his debut album, titled "Life Lessons."
In addition to his musical career, Givens also specializes as a mental health physician, focusing on marriage and family therapy, while also owning multiple mental health clinics.
A freewill offering will be collected each week. In the event there is rain the concert will be moved to the Horseshoe Pit Shelter. Also, check the Artsbridge Facebook page for updates regarding Summer Music Series and upcoming events.
