PARKERSBURG -- A Parkersburg woman was charged with malicious wounding after allegedly shooting her husband because he dared her.
Parkersburg Police responded Saturday to a report of a shooting at an address on Rayon Drive, according to a release from the department.
Bendi Hope Tucker, no age listed, 1511 Rayon Drive, called 911 saying she had shot her husband, Mark, the release said. Officers found him at the residence with a gunshot wound to his upper torso, and he was transported to a local medical facility for treatment.
The investigation determined the Tuckers were consuming alcohol and began to discuss a firearm, the release said. She reportedly told investigators her husband dared her to shoot him, "so I did."
Wood County Magistrate Court records indicate Bendi Tucker was arraigned Sunday and her bond was set at $50,000 surety.
