Two arrested after execution of search warrant by task force

MARIETTA -- The execution of a search warrant in Marietta Monday resulted in the arrest of a man on drug charges and a Tyler County woman in relation to a stolen vehicle.
Barry Ray Robinson, 25, of Marietta, was detained during the search, according to a release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office that does not indicate where the search took place. Agents with the Southeast Ohio Major Crimes Task Force recovered two firearms, one of which was loaded, and two baggies containing methamphetamine (10.17 grams and 0.67 grams). Drug paraphernalia including digital scales, smoking devices and clear baggies were also taken as evidence.
Robinson was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in drugs and one count each of possession of drugs and having weapons while under disability, all third-degree felonies, the release said.
During the search, agents were advised a stolen vehicle driven by Anastasia Dainelle Thomas, 22, 402 South Fourth Ave., Paden City, was outside, the release said. Agents located the white 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, which had been reported stolen from Tyler County.
After being advised of her rights, Thomas acknowledged the vehicle was stolen, the release said. She was arrested and charged with a fourth-degree felony count of receiving stolen property.
Robinson and Thomas appeared Tuesday in Marietta Municipal Court. Robinson was being held on $32,500 bond, and Thomas was being held on $1,000 bond.
