Authorities: Sunday morning fire claims two lives in Pennsboro

PENNSBORO -- Two individuals died during a fire at a residence outside Pennsboro's city limits Sunday morning, Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Department announced via Facebook post.
Officials received a call at 8:37 a.m. Sunday advising of a house explosion with potential entrapment, the post said.
The Ritchie County Ambulance Authority responded to the scene first, and confirmed a fully engulfed structure fire. The Pennsboro VFD arrived next, along with Ellenboro and Harrisville departments. Cairo and Greenwood VFDs and Ritchie County Sheriff's Office also responded
According to the post, as personnel worked on the fire, two individuals were found deceased. Their names have not been released.
The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the fire. No further information was available at press time.
