PARKERSBURG – The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on April 25:
* Jonathon Dillon Cayton, 1318 Oak St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on five counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
* Christina Dawn Melrose, 1232 Bull Run Road, Waverly, had charges of expired registration and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed.
* Ivan Joseph Willis, 943 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting (two counts) and fined $392.96. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg and a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.
* Edward Lee Summers, 2890 Meadowview Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI, fined $361.48 and sentenced to eight hours in jail which was ruled as time served.
* Matthew Douglas Brook, 24 Mulberry Lane, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to DUI and fined $361.48.
* Sabrina Forest Johnson, 310 Crown Manor Circle Apt. 23, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Kedin Lee Burdine, 1015 Moore Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a muffler violation and fined $186.48. Charges of operating a vehicle without required insurance and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Charles Allen Furbee, Washington, had charges of domestic battery and interfering or preventing emergency communication dismissed without prejudice.
* Dale Robert Wiggins Jr., Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.
* Amber Louise Kyer, 695 Short Run Road, Belleville, had a charge of second-offense shoplifting dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Mikayla D. File, 2142 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no operator’s license and fined $181.48. A charge of improper display of registration was dismissed.
* Jessica Roseina Lowden, 169 Twin Lakes Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $186.48.
* Derek Robert Chrisman, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of burglary, assault and battery and held on $27,500 bond.
* Steven E. McElfresh, 16 main St., Cairo, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense driving on a suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.
* Chase William Hutson, 1420 Spring St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of grand larceny and fraudulent use of an access device and held on $20,000 bond.
* Larry Ray Kidd, Princeton, was arraigned on charges of transfer/receiving stolen property and shoplifting, less than $500, and released on $1,000 bond.
* Joshua Eugene Mason, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and fleeing from an officer and released on $5,000 bond.
* Trenton M. Powell, 115 Goff Hollow Rd., Elizabeth, was arraigned on six counts of wanton endangerment with a firearm and held on $40,000 bond.
* Dazhan C. McCallister, 518 Whiteny Ave., Akron, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver fentanyl and held on $250,000 bond.
* Rausheen D. Rivers, 1192 Tulip St., Akron, was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and bringing a controlled substance into a jail and held on $250,000 bond.
* Christopher Maurice Davis, 991 Hammel St., Akron, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of manufacture or possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or meth. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.
