WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Williamstown Police Department arrested two area residents following a traffic stop on Highland Avenue Saturday morning, a post on its social media on Sunday said.
Delbert John Brun, 29, of Marietta and Emily Renee Boyd, 29, of Williamstown were taken into custody after Cpl. T.L. Deuley observed a blue Dodge Dakota run the stop sign from West Eighth Street onto Highland Avenue and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, the police department said.
Police checked the registration and learned the vehicle was stolen Feb. 14 out of Baltimore, Md.
The post said Brun, who was the driver, was charged with possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit transferring and receiving stolen property. Boyd was arrested on charges of conspiracy to receive and transfer stolen property and three warrants out of Wood County charging her with trespass, shoplifting and a capias warrant, the police department said.
Brun was arraigned by Magistrate Robin Waters and remanded to the Division of Corrections in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Boyd also was arraigned by Waters and remanded to the Division of Corrections in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
