PARKERSBURG -- The Parkersburg Utility Board on Tuesday approved a combined $207,215.31 in payments to Triton Construction Inc. for an ongoing $3.3 million improvement project at the wastewater treatment plant.
The company is completing the first of two clarifiers, which allow solids in wastewater to settle, PUB Manager Eric Bennett said. There have been issues with the delivery of equipment for the project.
"They currently believe by June 1 they'll be done and they'll be out of here," he said.
The board also approved a $3,605 change order for additional work done replacing the roof at the facility maintenance shop at 145 19th St. after contractor Murray Sheet Metal found deteriorated deck panels when the existing roof was removed. That brought the total cost to $44,966.
Both items passed on 4-0 votes, with one seat on the board vacant.
