Picture This: Marietta City Officials Sworn In

MARIETTA -- Newly elected and reelected Marietta City Council members and other city officials were sworn in Monday morning at the Armory.

Retired Washington County Common Pleas Judge Ed Lane administered the oath of office to Democrats, while Municipal Court Judge Randall Jedlink swore in the Republican members of council, as well as Auditor Sherri Hess, Law Director Paul Bertram and Mayor Josh Schlicher.

During the meeting, council unanimously voted to approve the reappointment of council Clerk Michele Newbanks, who was sworn in by Council President Susan Vessels.
