PARKERSBURG - Parkersburg City Council's Finance Committee will meet Tuesday to consider budget revisions that would allocate $2.4 million.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday in the executive conference room on the second floor of the Municipal Building.
The revision going before the committee is based on revenue from the first quarter of this fiscal year, which began July 1, Finance Director Eric Jiles said.
The bulk of the money comes from a $1,358,647 increase in projected business and occupation tax revenue. That would raise the forecast amount to $9,210,607.
Jiles said the increase can be attributed largely to inflation in general and completion of the $50 million Memorial Bridge rehabilitation project specifically.
