PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 21-25:
* Eric Shane Vest, Vienna, pleaded guilty to fleeing from law enforcement and fined $176.48 and sentenced to 10 days in jail which was ruled as time served. A charge of public intoxication was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Justin Tyler Johnson, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $176.48. He was ordered to pay a $56.50 civil penalty to the Piggly Wiggly store on Plum Street in Parkersburg.
* Christopher Lee Chafin, 1006 Swann St., Parkersburg, had a charge of grand larceny dismissed as the case is being handled in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Melvin Jessop, 3850 Central Ave., Apt. 19, Parkersburg, had two charges of failure to register dismissed as the case is being handled in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Jahve Leigh Le Grande, 1033 Cedar St., Pueblo, Colo., pleaded guilty to simple assault, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was ruled as time served. Charges of assaulting an officer and obstruction were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Tonya Lea Arnott, 1423 20th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting penalties, less than $500, and fined $186.48. She was ordered to pay a $122.41 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.
* Danielle Rae Burke, 515 Davisville Road, Davisville, pleaded guilty to DUI, driving on a suspended license, fined $627.96 and sentenced to 30 days home confinement. A charge of reckless driving was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Ryan Wayne Devore, 77 Helen Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.
* Michael A. Miller, 1408 20th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $186.48. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Austin Michael Ellison, 173 Blue Spruce Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding in a construction zone and fined $201.48.
* John Kelly Aliff, 117 Clover Dale Estates Dr., St. Marys, was arraigned on charges of reckless driving, having no insurance and speeding and released on $3,000 bond.
* Hannah Rae Furbee, 133 Mount Vernon Dr., Washington, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $3,000 bond.
* Peggy Ann Murphy, 4453 18th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of going left of center and using a cell phone while driving and released on $100 bond.
* Herbert Bess III, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of trespassing and obstruction and held on $1,500 bond.
* Michael Levi Gainer, 1204 28th St., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license and speeding in a work zone and held on $2,000 bond.
* Christopher Wayne Shilling, 1390 Kohl Road, Whipple, Ohio, was arraigned on a charge of driving while impaired with a BAC of .15 or greater and released on $3,000 bond.
* Gregory Allen Hutson Sr., 1010 Johnson Run Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license, having no proof of insurance and having improper registration and released on $1,000 bond.
* Caiden Lee Burke, 2608 26th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of a protective order and released on $2,000 bond.
* Ryan Scott Watson, Marietta, was arraigned on violation of a domestic protective order, stalking and released on $4,000 bond.
* Otis Joseph McDay, 545 Storer Ave., Akron, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and speeding and released on $2,000 bond.
* John Dennis Philpott, 904 ½ Hawthorne St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of having no insurance, no operators and receiving/transferring stolen property and released on $2,000 bond.
* Justine M. Macintyre, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and failure to process and held on $2,500 bond.
* Carl Bryan Hall, Cutler, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and obstruction and released on $2,500 bond.
* Kenneth David Burrell II, 203 Fairview Ave., Beckley, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $500 bond.
* Domingo Albino Ortiz, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and petit larceny and held on $3,000 bond.
* Heather Necole Hayes, 601 Stephenson Ave., Parkersburg was arraigned on two counts of attempt to commit a felony-unlawful assault and held on $10,000 bond.
* Trenton Michael Cremeans, 1145 Barnett Ridge Rd., was arraigned on charges of reckless driving, going left of center and possession of a controlled substance and released on $1,500 bond.
* Lorenia Antionette Manns, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $2,000 bond.
* Shawn Wayne Thornton, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and interference with a 911 call and released on $2,000 bond.
* Damian Joseph Rutter, 5021 Wilsenburg Rd., Salem, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle and held on $2,000 bond.
