Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Nov. 29:

* Gary Leonard Travis, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to battery of a government employee and/or medical personnel (two counts), fined $372.96 and sentenced to six months in jail which was ruled as time served. He had charges of battery of a government employee and/or medical personnel (two counts), obstructing officers, indecent exposure and failure to process dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Austin Wayne Davis, 46 Davis Lane, Davisville, pleaded guilty to brandishing deadly weapons, fined $176.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Hailey N. Mowery, 15 Prince Court, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license and fined $276.48. A charge of having an unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle was dismissed per a plea agreement.

* Jahbree Elijandel Sheppard, 4413 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to unlawful taking of a vehicle, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 60 days in jail which was suspended and Sheppard was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. A charge of trespassing was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Hannah Alyssa James-Rojas, 910 Neal St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance, driving on a suspended license, having defective equipment and fined $839.44. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, improper registration, operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Edward Eugene Gibson III, 1600 Knott Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of petit larceny dismissed with prejudice after the alleged victim failed to appear in court.

* Brian Bell, 1768 Ashby Ridge Road, Parkersburg, had charges of battery, brandishing deadly weapons, destruction of property dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victims failed to appear in court.

* Jeffrey Allen Ball, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to charges of domestic battery and obstruction, fined $412.96 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He was ordered to seek counseling for one year with the LEADS program. Charges of public intoxication and failure to process were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* David Eugene Miller, c/o 66 Rolling Hills Court, Parkersburg, had a charge of receiving or transferring stolen goods dismissed without prejudice as the alleged victims failed to appear in court.

* Lepha Marie Ables, 2300¢ Broadway Ave. Ext., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second offense shoplifting and fined $276.48. She was ordered to pay a $147.94 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Parkersburg.

* Robin Carpenter, 1303 16th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to worthless check and fined $2,997.79.

* Teresa Kaye Pierce, 514 Valley Mills Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding in a work zone and fined $276.48.

* Araya Mae Hammonds, 45 Mills Branch Road, Fenwich, W.Va., was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and held on $20,000 bond.

* James Lee Spaur, 2520 Meadowview Dr., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving on a suspended license, expired registration and released on $2,000 bond.

* Justin Lee Knight, 720 29th St., Apt. 10, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of following too closely and released on $500 bond.

* Mark Dylan Walker Kreaps, 6250 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, was arraigned on charges of battery and destruction of property and released on $1,500 bond.

* Kenneth Joseph Savio, 3604 East Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned for violating a personal safety order and released on $500 bond.

* Jonathan Michael Range, Mineral Wells, was arraigned for violating a domestic violence protection order and held on $3,000 bond.

* Shane Andrew Salyers, 17 Millbrook Dr., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of being a prohibited person possessing a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license and released on $2,000 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Nov. 30:

* Justin Tyler Joy, c/o 1009 Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to indecent exposure, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Yavonia Jeanett Hill, 2850 State Route 60, McConnelsville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 120 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Cipriano Scottorinaldi, 3207 Charles Dr., Vienna, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and Scottorinaldi was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.

* Stacy Jean Curry, 276 Wood St., Davisville, pleaded guilty to improper registration and fined $191.48. A charge of having no proof of insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Matthew Gregory Howard, 1325 Lynn St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on three counts of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or bodily injury. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Michael Shawn Mills, 413 East Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property, fined $176.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on unsupervised probation for two years.

* Christopher Paul Smith, 2805 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of manufacture or possess with intent to deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic or Meth dismissed.

* Wesley Leonard Jacob Anderson, 239 Davisville Road, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $1,000 bond.

* Mary Lee White, 2200 Hannah Road, Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of obstructing an officer and released on $500 bond.

* Andrew Gavin Warwick, 589 Old River Road, Williamstown, was arraigned on charges of driving impaired causing serious bodily injury and released on $30,000 bond.

* Dava Diane Darling, Elizabeth, was arraigned on charges of domestic battery and petit larceny and released on $1,000 bond.

* Julie L. Jones, 5507 3rd Ave., Vienna, pleaded no contest to illegal use of cell phone and fined $100.

* Harley Glen Fraley Jr., 902 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to shoplifting and fined $186.48. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Walmart store in Vienna.

* Howard Jackson Miller, 895 Hazel St., Washington, pleaded guilty to speeding in a school zone and fined $276.48.

* Carrie Mae Greene, 4801 Second Ave. Apt. 4, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Jacob Matthew Shaffer, 9400 St. Rt. 550, Vincent, had a charge of burglary dismissed without prejudice after the officer and alleged victim did not appear in court.

* Douglas Hendershot Jr., Newport, had a charge of worthless check dismissed as the state did not wish to proceed.

* David Michael Shockey, 1018 15th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of battery dismissed as the alleged victim failed to appear in court.

* Juanitia Louise Pickering-Smith, Parkersburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim did not appear in court.

* Sarah Elaine Hickel, 209 Navajo St., Satsuma, Fla., pleaded no contest to following too closely, using a cell phone while driving and fined $216.48.

* Jason Daniel Patrick Glockner, 7957 Strausser St. NW, North Canton, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.
