Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on November 7:

* Issac Kealoha Ikaika Mausali, 1736 Mathoit St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of fleeing from an officer. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Bill Martin Ball, Columbus, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice after the alleged victim did not appear in court.

* Franklin Aurther Hanshaw, 1609 Staunton Turnpike, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to falsely reporting an emergency, failure to maintain control and fined $407.96. A charge of accidents involving damage to vehicle was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Emma Mayanna Wallbrown, 553 Second Ave. Apt. 407, Gallipolis, Ohio, pleaded guilty to obstruction and fined $236.48.

* Jessica Nicole Vannoy, 613 17th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to failure to obey a traffic control device and accidents involving damage to vehicle, fined $357.96 and sentenced to 10 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. Charges of having no insurance and having no motorcycle endorsement dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Christopher Michael Williams, 40 Prince Court, Kings Row Trailer Court, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of breaking and entering. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Tina Louise Shears, 4907 ½ Second Ave., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of embezzlement. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Nellie Louise Raber, 2478 Blennerhassett Heights, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver a Schedule I or II Narcotic. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Julie Ann Powers, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic assault and failure to be processed, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 20 days in jail. Charges of disorderly conduct (two counts) and trespassing were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Justin Bruce Ketterman, 1101 14th St., Vienna, pleaded guilty to obstruction and possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $362.96 and sentenced to six months and 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on two years of unsupervised probation. He had charges of a bicycle not obeying traffic laws, operating a bicycle at night without proper lamps or reflectors and possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* James Albert Lipscomb, PO Box 1055, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possession of meth, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He was ordered to attend drug treatment. He had charges of possession of heroin and possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Robert James McFee, 728 Burning Springs Rd., Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license, possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and second-offense driving on a suspended license and fined $729.44. A charge of second-offense driving on a suspended license was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* April Ilene Gentzel, 282 Crown Manor Circle, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to speeding and improper use of cellphone and fined $291.48.

* Brandy Dawn Sartor, 3668 Buck Run Road, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to shoplifting and fined $181.48. She was ordered to pay a $356.48 civil penalty to Walmart.

* Hunter Lee Bryan, 153 Dickens Drive, Apt. 27, Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and released on $500 bond.

* Peggy Ann Murphy, 4453 18th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of speeding in a school zone (31 mph in a 15 mph zone) and released on $500 bond.

* Alfred Wayne Dye Jr., 506 42nd St., Vienna, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and released on $500 bond.

* Markeen A. Morris, 406 Crooks Ave., Ravenswood, was arraigned on charges of having expired MVI and expired registration and released on $1,000 bond.

* Chase Edward Burgy, 346 Elm St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of truancy and released on $500 bond.

* Carrie Marie Steakley, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $2,000 bond.

* Brenton Dean Metz, 1006 Juliana St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of overweight on tandem and released on $500 bond.

* John Wesley Hoy, no address given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County on a charge of safecracking and theft. He was held without bond and bond will be set in Wood County Circuit Court.

* Christopher Adam Brookover, 5717 Old St. Marys Pike, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of burning during prohibited hours and released on $1,000 bond.

* Matthew Alexander Davisson, 923 15th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of destruction of property and released on $500 bond.

* Beldon Tod Bailey, 1600 Pike St, Unit 43, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of fentanyl and released on $2,000 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Nov. 8:

* Chelsey Paige Hart, 1404 17th St., Vienna, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Matthew Paul Lewis, 30 Honeybee Way, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to DUI – under 21 with a BAC of .02 and obstruction, fined $537.96 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Charges of obstruction, battery of a government employee and/or medical personnel, possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and reckless driving were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Philip Joseph Humphries, 1111 Lynn St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. Another charge of possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription was dismissed, per a plea agreement. A charge of possession of counterfeit or unauthorized access device was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Logan Travis Waggoner, 122 Birnhamwood Dr. Lot 3, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license for DUI, fined $276.48 and sentenced to 90 days home confinement. A charge of having no vehicle insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Shauna Rae Parsons, 210 Mineral Manor Way, Parkersburg, had a charge of violation of a domestic violence order dismissed with prejudice.

* Derek Robert Chrisman, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail. A charge of domestic assault was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jerry Wayne Hartley, Parkerburg, had a charge of domestic battery dismissed without prejudice.

* Zachary Richard Mumford, 2505 Broadway Ave. Ext., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of shoplifting and released on $1,000 bond.

* Jeffrey Eugene McAtee, 149 Scarce Fat Rd., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on charges of DUI, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and going left of center and released on $2,000 bond.

* David Lee Scruggs II, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of destruction of property, battery (capias) and domestic battery (capias) and released on $1,000 bond for the destruction of property charge. Bond was set at $7,500 for the two capias warrants.

* John Daniel Emerson, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of domestic assault and destruction of property and released on $2,000 bond.

* Bryce Michael Stacy, 1624 Hill St., Belpre, Ohio, was arraigned on charges of expired registration, having defective equipment, driving on a suspended license (two counts), having no insurance and speeding in a school zone and released on $1,000 bond.

* Brandy Nichole Maynard, 22 Cross St., Mineral Wells, was arraigned on a charge of third-offense shoplifting and held on $10,000 bond. She was also arraigned as being a fugitive from justice out of Tazewell County, Virginia, on a charge of third-offense shoplifting. She is being held without bond. A hearing will be set in Wood County Circuit Court to determine bond.
