Columbus man arrested on drug charge after Parkersburg traffic stop

PARKERSBURG -- A Columbus man was charged with drug offenses after a traffic stop on Wednesday in Parkersburg, the Parkersburg Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force Thursday said.
Task Force agents conducted the traffic stop on a 2014 Lincoln MKS in the 1900 block of Seventh Street. Dmarco Jordan, 26, Columbus, was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, the Task Force said.
During the traffic stop, agents detected the odor of marijuana from the vehicle, the Task Force said. A search of the vehicle was conducted and 26 grams of suspected fentanyl and 27 grams of marijuana were found, the Task Force said.
Jordan was arrested for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and was arraigned by Wood County Magistrate Robin Waters who set bond at $200,000.
The Task Force is composed of investigators from the Parkersburg, Vienna and Williamstown police Departments, Wood County Sheriff's Department and the West Virginia State Police.
