Wood County politicians release campaign finance reports

PARKERSBURG -- The 10th District incumbent for the House of Delegates has the largest campaign stash so far among announced Wood County candidates for the 2024 election, according to the third-quarter financial reports filed with the West Virginia Secretary of State.

Delegate Bill Anderson, R-10th, from Williamstown, reported no contributions or expenditures for the reporting period, and contributions year-to-date of $27,640. Anderson, a chairman of the Energy and Manufacturing Committee, reported a beginning balance from the last report of $13,820.

Third quarter 2023 reports cover the period from July 31 to Sept. 30 and were due between Oct. 1-10.

Delegate Bob Fehrenbacher, 11th District, reported contributions of $500 for the reporting period and contributions of $600 year-to-date. No expenditures were reported.

Fehrenbacher, a first-term delegate and a pre-candidate for an undeclared office, listed contributions of $500 from Dominion Energy. He is vice chairman of the Substance Abuse Committee.

Delegate Vernon Criss, a Republican in the 12th District, reported contributions for the period of $2,100 and contributions year-to-date of $16,514. Criss, chairman of the Finance Committee, reported a beginning balance of $14,414 and no expenditures.

Criss reported contributions of $100 from John Sines, $500 each from the Pfizer PAC and the CSX Corp. for Good Government and $1,000 from the Highmark PAC.

In the 13th District, Delegate Scot C. Heckert reported contributions of $1,750 and contributions year-to-date of $4,470. Heckert reported expenditures of $1,568.

He listed contributions of $50 from Janet L. Wigal, $100 each from John Sines and Robert Boone, $500 from Dominion Energy Inc. and $1,000 from Doug White of Archibald, La.

Heckert listed expenses of $21.40 to Hometown Marketing, $592.91 to Piggly Wiggly, $200.41 to the Corner Cafe, $256.80 to Maka Mia Pizza, $42.39 to Amazon, $60 to the Wood County Recreation Commission, $295 to the Law Enforcement Partners from Bowling Green, Ky., and $100 to the Parkersburg High School Football Boosters.
