The Washington County Board of Elections ruled this morning that an independent candidate for Marietta mayor can remain on the November ballot.
In a 3-1 vote at a hearing continued from Wednesday, the board denied a challenge over the residency of Anne Labes. Jon Grimm, a previous independent candidate for Marietta City Council who has since withdrawn, claimed Labes did not live at the Front Street address listed on her filing.
The election will take place on Nov. 7.
