PARKERSBURG -- The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on July 13:

* Glen Paul Siegrist, 2630 Dudley Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting, was assessed $196.48 in fines and court costs and ordered to pay a civil penalty of $845.94 to Walmart. A charge of trespassing in a placarded structure was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Christopher Alexander Skibbe, 2658 Second St., Hurricane, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was assessed $476.48 in fines and court costs. Charges of driving under the influence and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Preliminary hearings were waived for Hope Celine Chute, 1111 Lynn St., Parkersburg, on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent and two counts of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver, and the cases were bound over to Wood County Circuit Court.

* A preliminary hearing was held for Jordan Alexander McCutcheon, 3402 25th St., Apt. 6, Parkersburg, on a charge of retaliation against a public official.

* Cassie Jo Cassidy, 2813 Soyer St., Apt. 7, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of truancy and was assessed $226.48 in fines and court costs.

* Marthanna Gayle Savage, 915 15th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstructing an officer, was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for seven days served and assessed $176.48 in court costs.

* Zxavian Deandre Martin, 1916 29th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to one count of unsafe and improperly equipped vehicle and was assessed $181.48 in fines and court costs. A charge of operation without or failure to produce an inspection certificate was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Joshua Paul Pepper, 35 Farr St., Petroleum, pleaded guilty to third-offense driving on a suspended license, was sentenced to 30 days home confinement and assessed $326.48 in fines and court costs. A charge of no vehicle insurance was dismissed per a plea agreement.

* A preliminary hearing was waived for Michael Stephen Baugh, 1211 10th St., Vienna, on a charge of third-offense shoplifting, and the case was transferred to Circuit Court.

* Probable cause was found for a charge of manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver a Schedule I or II narcotic against Damonta Zavion Ozgood Hardiman, 841 Bearsely St., Akron, Ohio. The case was transferred to Circuit Court.

* Justin Tyler Johnson, 413 E. Eighth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, suspended for one year of unsupervised probation. He was assessed $176.48 in court costs and ordered to pay a civil penalty of $50 to Rebel Marathon on Murdoch Avenue in Parkersburg. In a separate case, Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of shoplifting, was assessed $196.48 in fines and court costs and was ordered to pay a civil penalty of $200 to Rural King.

* James Andrew Craddock, 2150 White Oak Run Road, Walker, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was assessed $201.48 in fines and court costs. A charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed.

* Joseph Gayle McElwee, 956 Murphytown Road, Davisville, was arraigned on a charge of no registration and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Michael James Hudson, 1612 Slaters Creek Road, Goodlettsville, Tenn., was arraigned on a charge of attempt to commit a felony after allegedly trying to steal a truck. He was held on a $20,000 surety bond.

* Paul Anthony Welch, 4817 Crestview Circle, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage and destruction of property and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Thomas Michael Leroy Underwood, 44 Meadowview Circle, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of strangulation and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

* Melissa Diane Cunningham-Burton, 804 Hocking Road, Belpre, was arraigned on a worthless check charge and released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Donald Monroe Anderson Jr., 2599 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of battery and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Edward Eugene Gibson III, 1600 Knotts Ave., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Kevin Wayne Conley, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of domestic assault and released on a $250 surety bond.

* Shane Christopher Harpold, 1003 Campus Drive, Belpre, pleaded guilty to no operator's license and was assessed $186.48 in fines and court costs. A charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

* Christina Irene Holdren, 1531 1/2 20th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to a charge of trespassing and was assessed $176.48 in court costs.

* Jason Benjamin Reynolds, 83 Post Mill Way, Apt. 404, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to second-offense driving on a suspended license and was assessed $276.48 in fines and court costs.

* Dominique Jaquae James, 224 15th St., Elyria, Ohio, pleaded guilty to speeding and was assessed $226.48 in fines and court costs. A charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed.
