No injuries reported in Parkersburg house fire

PARKERSBURG — A call came in at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday of a structure fire at 1309 Rayon Drive in south Parkersburg.
Parkersburg Fire Chief Jason Matthews said the fire department was on scene within three minutes.
“Heavy smoke and flames could be seen from the front room and going up the stairs,” said Matthews, after the fire was extinguished Tuesday evening.
Matthews said they went through the front door, did an interior attack and had the fire out within 10 to 15 minutes. He said no injuries or fatalities were sustained during the fire that they know of.
“We did a primary and secondary search, we have not found anybody as of yet,” said Matthews.
The Parkersburg Fire Department, Parkersburg Police Department, and Camden Clark Ambulance Services responded to the call.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, as the fire is still under investigation.
No update on the fire was available Wednesday afternoon.
