Ohio State Highway Patrol investigating fatal motorcycle crash

MARIETTA -- The Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a motorcyclist after a two-vehicle crash at approximately 5:11 p.m. Friday on Ohio 555 near mile post 1 in Marion Township.

The crash involved a 2010 Toyota RAV4, operated by Rachel D. Wriston, 46, of Cutler, and a 1999 Harley Davidson Electra Glide, operated by Terry W. Filsinger, 59, of Grafton.

The investigation found Filsinger was traveling north on Ohio 555 and crossed left of center, striking Wriston's vehicle. Filsinger was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital via Med Flight where he later died of his injuries. Wriston was not injured as a result of the crash.

Responding agencies included the patrol, Chesterhill Volunteer Fire Department, Med Flight and Brock's Towing.

Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Filsinger was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
